A-tension is a product development company that focuses on ensuring secure and cost efficient cargo tension. It was founded in the 1990’s by Lennart Lindblad, the founder and previous CEO of Autoliv, the world’s largest developer and manufacturer of automotive safety systems. During the years Lennart and his engineering organization has patented over 100 products that in total have sold over one billion copies globally.
Atension focuses on three business segments which have driven the product and patent portfolio:
- COGS Reduction: Product inventions that reduce cost of material or labour cost of ratches
- Performance Enhancements: Product inventions that enhance the performance of ratches, i.e. tension force
- Preventive Safety Solutions: Product inventions that improve cargo safety i.e. pro-active alert systems
